Linocuts, My New Interest

The current artist in residence at the dA Center for the Arts is Bob, AKA Uncle Bacon, Hurton, a printmaker. As soon as I found out he was there I started to consider relief printing and linocuts with interest, and after I met him I was itching to pick up some linoleum and a cutter. Now, a week later, I’ve cut my first three surfaces with images, and I’m making prints.

Here I am with Bob/Uncle Bacon and prints of my first three linocuts. I’m excited about this new development: getting my art practice introduced to linocuts and printmaking. Thanks to Bob/Uncle Bacon and dA Center for the Arts for the inspiration and getting me going.
